The Tajikistan Chess Federation announced that the young chess team from Tajikistan completed its performance at the Intellect Academy Cup International Chess Tournament, which took place from February 16 to 21 in Novokuznetsk, Russia, under the guidance of coach Daler Nazarov.
Teams from 42 countries participated in the competition. The Tajikistan children's team finished 14th, demonstrating skill, competitive spirit, and a desire to win.
Saifiyev Murodali achieved particular success, taking 2nd place in the blitz tournament and winning a silver medal.






In the individual competition, Tajik athletes showed the following results:
Okhunov Umar – 5.5 points out of 9 Muminov Imron – 5.5 points out of 9 Shamsov Akhmad – 4.5 points out of 9 Sayfiev Murodali – 6.5 points out of 9 Saidakramzoda Oisha – 1 point out of 9
Competing at a tournament of this level was a significant milestone for the young chess players. Participating in international competitions allows athletes to hone their skills and represent Tajikistan on the international stage.
