On February 25, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Russian Federation Davlatshoh Gulmahmadzoda met with the university's rector, Yakov Silin, at the Ural State University of Economics as part of a trip to the Sverdlovsk Region of the Russian Federation. This was reported by NIAT Khovar.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the training of highly qualified specialists and the organization of internships for Tajik citizens. They also discussed the education of Tajik students at this university, including their study and living conditions.



Following the meeting with the rector, the Ambassador held a conversation with students, young people, and leaders of Tajik cultural societies and diasporas in the Ural Federal District. The head of the diplomatic mission noted that the purpose of the meeting was to clarify the Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the Majlisi Oli "On the Main Directions of the Republic's Domestic and Foreign Policy."
It was emphasized that the Address places special emphasis on strengthening the moral foundations of society, developing national consciousness, respecting cultural and national values, and preventing the influence of foreign elements.
During the meeting, the issue of ensuring national security was discussed as one of the key areas of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan's Address to the Majlisi Oli. It was noted that national security is the primary factor in preserving state independence, political stability, national unity, and sustainable development. It was emphasized that fulfilling the instructions and directives of the President of Tajikistan outlined in the Address to the Majlisi Oli will enable us to move to a new stage in 2026 in achieving national goals, expanding creative work, and strengthening national identity, as well as to worthily celebrate the 35th anniversary of state independence with significant achievements.
The ambassador spoke about the expansion of innovation processes and the comprehensive use of digital technologies in the economy, as well as the declaration of 2025–2030 as the "Years of Digital Economy and Innovation Development" in the republic. It was noted that the goal of this initiative is to ensure the systematic development of artificial intelligence, the digitalization of the national economy, and the implementation of innovative technologies as a priority area of state policy. It was emphasized that the development of innovation and digital technologies is a key area and can contribute to sustainable development and improved living standards in the future.
It was also noted that declaring 2026 the "Year of Expanding Improvement and Creativity, Strengthening National Identity and Self-Awareness" increases the responsibility of citizens for achieving these goals. Compatriots living abroad are called upon to make a worthy contribution to the creative work and development of their native villages by the 35th anniversary of State Independence. It was emphasized that enhancing a sense of responsibility, maintaining work discipline, and effectively utilizing existing opportunities are particularly important for achieving the objectives outlined in the Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Majlisi Oli.
The ambassador discussed the situation with labor migration in the host country and called on the leaders of public and cultural organizations to more actively represent national identity in the media and social networks by showcasing the image of the intelligentsia, scientists, and cultural figures, as well as by holding scientific and cultural events.
