Several Gulf countries have reported explosions and missile interceptions amid the escalation around Iran. Air raid sirens have sounded in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan. Authorities in several countries have urged citizens to take shelter and avoid areas where military installations are located.

According to Reuters, a loud explosion occurred in the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi. Details and official comments were not available at the time of publication.

In Kuwait, according to Arab media, explosions were heard, and sirens were sounded across the country. Authorities issued warnings to the public.

Bahrain's Ministry of Interior confirmed the sounding of sirens in response to a possible attack on US military bases in the kingdom. Earlier, reports of rocket fire were received in the Juffair district, home to the US Navy's Fifth Fleet headquarters. According to Reuters, smoke was visible from the area.

The Qatari Ministry of Defense announced the interception of an Iranian missile by the Patriot air defense system. The country's authorities sent emergency alerts to mobile devices, advising residents to stay home or away from military installations.

Sirens sounded in Amman in Jordan following the start of US-Israeli strikes on Iran. The military reported that Royal Air Force aircraft were conducting airspace security sorties. A Jordanian army spokesman clarified that the sounds heard in the sky were related to national air force activity. Jordan's Public Security Service urged citizens to remain under cover until further notice.

A senior Iranian official told Al Jazeera that all American and Israeli assets and interests in the Middle East have become "legitimate targets." He asserted that after the current strikes, "there are no red lines left," and Iran's response will be public and open-ended.

Earlier, Israel launched a strike on Iran. Later, US President Donald Trump announced the start of a large-scale military operation against Iran.

Iran fired missiles at northern and central Israel. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced a joint Israeli-US operation against Iran.
