On March 3, Sughd Region Chairman Rajab Akhmadzoda participated in the cotton sowing campaign under plastic film and early potato sowing at the Enadzhon Boymatova Agricultural Production Cooperative in the city of Konibodom. This was reported by the Sughd Region press service.
It was noted that this farm has 724 hectares of land. This year, cotton will be grown under plastic film on 50 hectares, and early potatoes will be grown on 8 hectares. According to specialists, this method is cost-effective and, if timing and agronomic requirements are met, yields high-quality crops. Experience from previous years also shows that plastic film sowing increases production efficiency.
During a meeting with agricultural producers, the regional chairman gave specific instructions on strict adherence to agricultural requirements, the use of high-quality seeds, the proper organization of crop cultivation, and the efficient use of each plot of land. It was emphasized that increasing the production of cotton and other agricultural products is an important factor in strengthening the city's economic potential.

The regional governor also visited the poultry farm currently under construction at Ganji Jahon LLC in the rural jamoat of Kuhandiyar. This facility, being built at the initiative of local entrepreneur Farrukh Fayzulloev, currently raises 10,000 chickens. Once fully operational, the poultry population is expected to increase to 60,000. It was noted that the development of such farms plays an important role in providing the population with poultry and eggs, as well as in creating new jobs.
Rajab Akhmadzoda then inspected the construction work at the dried fruit packaging facility of the Kanibadam agricultural production cooperative. It was reported that this facility was built by individual entrepreneur Farkhod Sokhibov. Dried fruits, including apricots, are processed and packaged there for export.

Currently, the enterprise employs 15 local women and girls. Once production is fully operational, up to 100 people will be provided with permanent jobs. The creation of a juice production facility is also planned for the future. The regional chairman noted that, given the city of Konibodom's extensive resources, the creation of such enterprises is important and beneficial.

Continuing his working visit, the regional governor visited Yusufjon Bakhromov, a veteran of the Interior Ministry, as well as Omina Ruziboeva and Nasiba Shukurova, veterans of the education sector. He congratulated them on the upcoming holidays, including Mother's Day and the International Holiday of Navruz.
The veterans expressed gratitude for the attention and care provided.
