China will provide over 410 million Chinese yuan, equivalent to US$59 million, for the construction of four transport interchanges in Dushanbe. This was announced following the signing of exchange notes between Tajikistan's Finance Minister Fayziddin Qahhorzoda and China's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Tajikistan, Guo Zhijun.
It is noted that the specified funds are entirely grant funds.

According to the project, the construction of transport interchanges is planned at the intersections of Abay-Kakhhorova, Jami-Kakhhorova, South Bypass Road-Kakhhorova streets, as well as at the bridge over the Dushanbe River connecting Sokhili and Kakhhorova streets.
A. Kahhorova Street is being reconstructed based on Dushanbe's General Plan. The project is expected to reduce congestion, improve traffic and pedestrian safety, and bring the capital's roads up to international standards.
