American actor and martial artist Chuck Norris has died at the age of 86, The Variety reported on Friday, citing a statement from his family.
Relatives chose not to disclose details of the incident, but emphasized that Norris died surrounded by loved ones.
On Thursday, it was reported that Norris was hospitalized in Hawaii. The reason for his hospitalization was not specified.
Earlier, on March 10, the actor celebrated his 86th birthday. That day, he posted a video of his boxing training session on social media.
Chuck Norris was active in action films. His credits include roles in "Way of the Dragon," "Lone Wolf McQuade," and "Missing in Action." He is best known for his role as Texas Ranger Cordell Walker in the TV series "Walker, Texas Ranger."
