In the western part of Dushanbe, the construction project for the 220/110/10 kV Garbi substation, which will be located in the Juybodom mahalla, has begun .
The project aims to increase the reliability of power supply to the capital's economic and social infrastructure facilities, as well as to reduce the load on the existing 220/110/10 kV Nav and Daryokanor substations.
The project will involve a range of construction, installation, and engineering works. The project includes the construction of a new substation with 10 220 kV and 12 110 kV feeder bays, as well as the installation of two 200 MVA autotransformers and two 40 MVA voltage regulation transformers.

One of the key stages will be the construction of 220 and 110 kV open switchgear, including the installation of foundations for portal structures, wiring, electrical equipment, and cable ducts.
In addition, the project provides for the creation of 10 kV switchgear (RU-1 and RU-2) with the construction of closed switchgear buildings, installation of equipment, installation of current-limiting reactors and the installation of 30 connection cells.

The substation also plans to build a two-story control room building, which will house relay protection and automation systems, as well as implement modern digital control and monitoring systems.
Additionally, the construction of auxiliary infrastructure is planned, including a warehouse, a diesel generator set and a water supply system.
The project's implementation will mark a significant milestone in the development of Dushanbe's energy infrastructure and will create the foundation for a more sustainable and reliable electricity supply to the western part of the city.
