On April 8, Khatlon Region Chairman Davlatali Said and Deputy Prime Minister Sulaimon Ziyozoda inspected the progress of cotton sowing under plastic film at the Yokubjon farm in the T. Sadriddinov rural jamoat during a working visit to the Shahritus district. This was reported by the press service of the Khatlon Region Chairman.
During the visit, the regional governor observed the cotton sowing process using film-growing technology and praised the use of modern agricultural methods. He emphasized that the introduction of such technologies contributes to increased yields, water conservation, and accelerated crop growth.

The Yokubjon farm reportedly covers a total area of 10 hectares, and its primary activity is cotton growing. This year, 7 hectares of the Chinese "Dusti" cotton variety were sown using film cultivation technology.
During a conversation with farmers, the Khatlon Region Chairman noted that the use of such advanced methods should be widely implemented in other farms, as this will contribute to increased production volumes, improved product quality, and the sustainable development of agriculture.
Responsible officials were also given specific instructions on the timely completion of agricultural work, the use of high-quality seeds, and increasing cotton yields.
