On April 9, the Chairman of the Sughd Region, Rajab Akhmadzoda, familiarized himself with the activities of industrial enterprises and plans for the construction of new production facilities in the city of Penjikent.
It was noted that the city is effectively using its existing resources to develop its industrial sector, with special attention being paid to the creation of new industrial enterprises.
The regional chairman first reviewed the plans of the joint venture, BROADTEK LLC. According to officials, along with improving production operations, the company plans to build a new facility for the complete processing of raw materials. 400 million somoni are planned for this project, providing hundreds of people with permanent jobs and competitive wages. The facility's processing capacity will be up to 300 tons of ore per day.
The regional governor also reviewed the Kanzi Diyor LLC project. It was reported that an antimony production facility will be built in the Mogiyon rural jamoat of Penjikent using identified ore reserves. The investment will total 500 million somoni, and once operational, 500 new jobs will be created. The facility will have a processing capacity of 2,000 tons of ore per day.


The company is currently creating the necessary infrastructure, and construction is ongoing on two residential towns for engineering and technical staff and workers, each with a capacity of 300. They will be equipped with all necessary living conditions.
Continuing the trip, the construction of a new industrial facility was launched in the city of Penjikent, with the participation of the Sughd Region Governor. The facility is being built with the participation of Obi Haftkul LLC and at the initiative of young entrepreneur Afzalsho Dustzoda. The project will include the creation of a soft drink production facility and an agricultural processing facility, where still and sparkling water, as well as juices, will be produced using modern technologies.


Once the plant is operational, 60 local residents will be provided with permanent employment. Production equipment will be imported from developed countries and installed, and construction is scheduled to be completed this year.
Sughd Region Chairman Rajab Akhmadzoda praised the development of the industrial sector, the construction of new enterprises, and the efficient use of capacity as important factors in economic progress, and called the initiatives of local entrepreneurs an example of the implementation of the country's government's constructive policies.
