An environmental campaign, "Clean Shore," took place on the banks of the Kofarnikhon River in Dushanbe. This was reported by the press service of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The event was organized based on the instructions of the Committee's leadership in order to properly celebrate the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as in the context of declaring 2026 the Year of Expanding Improvement and Creation Work and Strengthening Self-Awareness and Self-Knowledge, and in honor of Capital Day.






The event was attended by employees of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Main Department of Environmental Protection of Dushanbe, the executive body of state power of the Firdavsi district, as well as members of the Volunteer Club under the Chairman of the City of Dushanbe.
During the event, the riverbank was completely cleared of solid household waste and plastic waste. In total, over 20 cubic meters of trash were collected and then taken to the city landfill.



It is noted that such environmental campaigns help maintain the cleanliness of residential areas, as well as riverbanks and canals. Furthermore, such initiatives aim to improve environmental awareness and foster a caring attitude toward the environment in society.
