An environmental campaign, "Clean Coast 2026," was held in the city of Gissar at the initiative of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. The committee's press service reported this.
The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Committee Loik Rahmonzoda, representatives of the Executive Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan in the city of Gissar, employees of environmental agencies and housing and communal services, active members of the public organization "Sozandagoni Vatan", as well as volunteers from the city's Department of Youth Affairs and Sports.






The event took place on the banks of the Changob River and was aimed at raising environmental awareness among the population, protecting the environment, and maintaining the cleanliness of coastal areas.
As a result of the work, 12.4 cubic meters of waste were collected. The collected waste was transported to the official city landfill using specialized transport.




It is noted that holding such events is important for improving the environmental situation, preventing environmental pollution, and engaging the population in public initiatives.
