On May 5, a national scientific and theoretical conference entitled "Ancient Khuttal in the Historical and Cultural Continuity of Central Asia and the Formation of the National Identity of the Tajik People" will be held in Dushanbe. This was announced by the Akhmad Donish Institute of History, Archaeology, and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
The event is timed to coincide with the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as the inclusion of the historical and cultural heritage sites of Ancient Khuttal on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The main goal of the conference is a comprehensive study of the role of Ancient Khuttal in long-term historical processes, an analysis of historical and cultural continuity in Central Asia, and a comparative assessment of its significance in the formation of national consciousness and identity of the Tajik people.
Archaeologists, historians, numismatists, linguists, epigraphists, art historians, cultural scientists, and other scholars are expected to participate in the conference. Participants will present the latest research findings, theoretical generalizations, and scientific achievements within the stated areas.
The organizers emphasize that holding the conference is not only a tribute to the rich historical and cultural heritage of our ancestors, but also an important step in strengthening the scientific foundations of national identity, developing academic cooperation, and promoting Tajikistan's historical and cultural values at the national and international levels.
