A Tajik delegation met with the leadership of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank during the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group, the National Bank of Tajikistan reported.

The talks took place on April 14 in Washington with the participation of First Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan Hokim Kholikzoda and Vice President and Corporate Secretary of the bank Sherard Cowper-Coles.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of joint projects in energy, transport, and social infrastructure. They also noted the bank's significant role in financing strategic projects, including the Rogun Hydroelectric Power Station, the modernization of the Nurek Hydroelectric Power Station, and the construction of roads and bridges.
Particular attention is given to the prospects for expanding cooperation in the field of green energy, development of transport infrastructure, sustainable use of water resources, and attracting long-term investment.
It is emphasized that these areas are important for ensuring sustainable economic growth and strengthening regional integration of Tajikistan.
It was noted that, in the context of global economic changes, the country maintains macroeconomic stability, continues structural reforms, and attracts foreign investment.
Collaboration with international development partners is noted to facilitate the implementation of priority projects, strengthen economic stability, and improve the well-being of the population.
