China and Vietnam should adhere to the principles of peace, development, cooperation and win-win, and make joint efforts to oppose unilateralism and protectionism, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Wednesday.
Both sides must protect the global free trade system and maintain the stability and smooth operation of production and supply chains, he noted.
Xi Jinping made this statement during talks with the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the President of that country, To Lam, who is in China on a state visit.
