The United Nations Office at Geneva held events to mark Chinese Language Day. The event was co-organized by the Permanent Mission of China to the UN and China Media Group, whose CEO, Shen Haixiong, addressed the participants via video.
This year's event focused on the Chinese language as an important tool for dialogue between China and the world. The event also included the 6th CGTN International Video Festival, which featured projects such as "Exploring Chinese Bamboo Manuscripts" and "Living Characters," dedicated to the country's cultural heritage.
The organizers also prepared a session on intercultural interaction entitled "Words Connecting Hearts," where young participants shared stories about their experiences learning Chinese. In total, more than 350 representatives from over 30 countries and international organizations participated in the event. (Photo: CMG)
