The Sadriddin Aini State Pedagogical University of Tajikistan has decided to increase staff and faculty salaries by 10 percent, effective September 2026, using a special university account. This was announced at a press conference by the university's rector, Akhliddin Ibodullozoda.
According to the rector, this decision was made in accordance with the social policy of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and is aimed at fulfilling the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the Status of Teachers," developed at the initiative of the head of state and adopted by the Majlisi Namoyandagoni of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The decision is intended to enhance the status of teachers, ensure social rights and guarantees, and create favorable conditions for professional activity and attracting teachers.
The rector noted that earlier, in 2024, in order to incentivize teachers and improve the quality of education, the salaries of university teachers were also increased by 10 percent.
According to Akhliddin Ibodullozoda, thanks to the support and recognition of the university's faculty and staff, in 2025, the Sadriddin Aini State Pedagogical University of Tajikistan ranked eighth among 422 universities from 55 countries worldwide in the Higher Education Ranking (HEQAC), scoring 8,136 points.
In addition, the university ranked second among 69 higher education and research institutions in the country according to the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI, Elibrary.ru) with 6,597 scientific publications.
The increase in the salaries of university faculty members is aimed at further developing the educational and scientific activities of the university, as well as strengthening the professional motivation of employees.
