Police officers have uncovered several cases of theft in the city of Bokhtar and districts of the Khatlon region, the Tajik Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
A 27-year-old local resident filed a complaint with the Bokhtar City Department of Internal Affairs, reporting that on January 15, 2026, unknown individuals stole his electric motorcycle from a store on Kaikhonnavardon Street. The total damage amounted to 11,000 somoni.
During the course of operational investigative activities, police officers established that the crime was committed by an 18-year-old resident of the Panj district.
Additionally, a 42-year-old local resident contacted the A. Jomi District Department of Internal Affairs. She reported that in July and August 2025, unknown individuals stole 7,250 somoni and 11,500 somoni worth of food from her grocery store.
As a result of investigative operations, police officers determined that the crime was committed by a 28-year-old local resident. The total damage incurred in this incident amounted to 28,000 somoni.
