On January 17, the first-ever Tajikistan Chess Awards ceremony for the 2025 tournament was held in Dushanbe. The event was a significant gathering for the country's chess community, bringing together athletes, coaches, leaders, and distinguished guests, according to the Tajikistan Chess Federation.
During the ceremony, awards were presented to the chess players who demonstrated the best results in national and international competitions in 2025. Their achievements demonstrate the growing level of chess and the systematic efforts to develop this sport in the country.






The event also included the presentation of a detailed report on the Tajikistan Chess Federation's activities for 2025, summarizing the work accomplished and highlighting key achievements and completed projects. Particular attention was paid to plans and priority areas for chess development in 2026.
Special words of gratitude and awards were presented to chess coaches for their dedicated, painstaking, and truly challenging work, their contribution to the education of the younger generation of chess players, and the development of the chess movement as a whole.









Following the official ceremony, a cultural and entertainment program was prepared for the guests. One of the country's top magicians, Maksud Dododzhonov, delivered a vibrant and memorable performance. The Melody Rangers provided musical accompaniment for the evening, creating a warm and festive atmosphere.
The event concluded with a celebratory lunch, where guests were able to socialize, share impressions, and discuss the future prospects for chess development in Tajikistan in an informal setting.
