In Kazakhstan's Aktobe region, an evacuation operation was carried out to evacuate 46 passengers from a bus traveling from Yekaterinburg, Russia, to the city of Khujand. This was reported by the press service of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The vehicle broke down on the highway in the Aitekebi district and was unable to proceed. Through the joint efforts of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Emergency Situations and local authorities, all passengers, including citizens of Tajikistan, Russia, and Uzbekistan, as well as the bus driver from Kazakhstan, were safely transported to a warming station in the village of Zhurgenov.
According to the agency's press service, no one was injured in the incident. All evacuees received the necessary assistance.
Kazakhstan's Ministry of Emergency Situations continues to work on the country's snow-covered highways. Earlier, in the Akmola region, rescuers evacuated 81 foreign citizens from a bus, all of them Tajik citizens, including 17 children.
