Three people died in traffic accidents in Tajikistan in two days. According to law enforcement, all cases are under investigation. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan.
On January 12, 2026, at approximately 6:00 PM in the village of Chorbog, the driver of a Volkswagen Polo, Samandar Komilovich Mustafakulov, born in 1986, a resident of Istaravshan, while intoxicated, lost control of the vehicle and struck a pedestrian, Khoshimdzhon Rakhimovich Salimov, born in 1976, a resident of Istaravshan. The victim sustained serious injuries and died in the hospital. An investigation is underway to determine the cause and circumstances of the accident.
On January 13, at approximately 5:40 PM, the driver of an Opel Zafira, Dzhalol Dzhalilovich Navruzov, born in 1959, a resident of the Zafarobod district, lost control of the vehicle and struck a pedestrian, Yusuf Berdizoda, born in 2016, a local resident. The child sustained various injuries and died in the hospital.
That same day, at approximately 7:00 PM, the driver of an Opel-Merve, Shokhrukhon Fayzulloev, born in 2000, a resident of the Devashtichsky District, lost control of his vehicle while driving on A. Nasriddinov Street in the Gafurov District and struck cyclist Rasul Abduvakhobovich Fayziev, born in 1963, a local resident. The cyclist died in the hospital as a result of the accident.
All road traffic accidents are under investigation, and the circumstances and causes of the tragic events are being established.
