As part of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026, which continues until January 15, Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan Manuchehr Safarzoda met with Abid Malik, President of ACWA Power in Central Asia. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The parties focused on expanding bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, in particular the construction of solar power plants with a total capacity of 1,250 megawatts in the Republic of Tajikistan.


At the same time, the implementation of the Rogun-Saihoun 500 kV high-voltage power transmission line project and the line from the Saihoun region to the Sogd-500 substation were discussed. This project is key to strengthening the resilience of the country's energy system and increasing transmission capacity.
The parties expressed their readiness to continue negotiations, develop technical and economic details of the projects, and attract investment in the development of renewable "green" energy in Tajikistan.
