Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained 21-year-old Dushanbe resident Bakhtiyor Oyev for carrying a bladed weapon and psychotropic drugs, the city's Department of Internal Affairs press service reported .
According to the agency, the arrest was based on a video recording provided by a citizen. During the search, one knife and 19 Lyrica psychotropic pills were found on Oev B.
During the investigation, it was established that Oev B., despite having previously been convicted of hooliganism, regularly used various narcotics and, using bladed weapons, grossly violated public order.

Given these circumstances, an administrative report was drawn up against Oev B. The court sentenced him to 15 days of administrative arrest.
As part of the preventative operation "Knife," the capital's police have stepped up public awareness campaigns, as well as raids and inspections, aimed at identifying and preventing the illegal possession of bladed weapons.
Law enforcement officials note that the possession of bladed weapons, particularly knives, by teenagers and young adults has become a troubling issue requiring immediate action. Every citizen and active member of society must recognize their responsibility and make a personal contribution to ensuring public safety.
