In Tajikistan, police officers have uncovered several cases of livestock and property theft among residents of the country's regions, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan reports.
For example, on October 15, 2025, in the Khovalinsky District, unknown individuals stole a head of cattle from the farmland of a 40-year-old local resident. The damage amounted to 16,000 somoni. Investigative actions revealed that the crime was committed by a 27-year-old local resident.
Also on December 15, 2025, two cattle were stolen from a 36-year-old man's farm in the Khovalinsky District. Damages amounted to 23,000 somoni.
In October 2025, five calves belonging to a 46-year-old local resident were stolen from a pasture in the village of Dusti in the Muminabad district. The damage amounted to 10,500 somoni. Law enforcement identified the suspect as a 25-year-old local resident.
Additionally, on December 30, 2025, in the B. Gafurov district, a 57-year-old man with a previous conviction stole an electric bicycle from a 63-year-old district resident. The damage amounted to 4,000 somoni.
Criminal cases have been opened on all facts under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, and investigations are ongoing.
