On New Year's Day in Tajikistan, two serious road accidents occurred, resulting in the deaths of two people, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan reported.
The first accident occurred on January 1 at approximately 5:30 PM on the highway between the city of Bokhtar and the Balkhi district. An Opel Astra, driven by Fozil Khudoynazarovich Turdiev, born in 1987, a resident of the Kushoniyon district, collided with another Opel Astra, driven by Orifjon Ganievich Yunusov, born in 1974, a resident of the Balkhi district.
The passenger of the second car, Gasratov Saadi Makhmadovich, born in 1988, a resident of the Balkhi district, received serious injuries and died on the way to the hospital.
The second accident occurred approximately an hour later, at 6:30 PM, on the Dushanbe-Khujand-Chanok highway. The driver of an Opel Astra, Boymurot Okilovich Valiev, born in 1973, a resident of the J. Rasulov district, lost control of his car and crashed into a Kia Carnival driven by Makhmud Olimovich Boynazarov, born in 1989, a resident of Guliston.
As a result of the accident, Valiev Boymurot Okilovich received serious injuries and died in the hospital.
An investigation is being conducted into both accidents.
