On December 23, 2025, two road traffic accidents with human casualties occurred in Tajikistan.
In the first incident, at approximately 4:30 PM, Nasriddin Gurezovich Shamsiddinov, a Kia Rio driver born in 1991 and a resident of the Shahrinav district, struck Maryam Kabirova, a local resident born in 2018, while driving on the Dushanbe-Tursunzade highway. The victim was hospitalized but later died there.
In the second accident, which occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m. on the Dushanbe-Kulyab highway, the driver of a Toyota Carola, Khamzaali Nuralievich Miraliyev, born in 1992, a resident of the Farkhor district, moving from the city of Kulyab in the direction of the city of Dushanbe, lost control and collided with an Opel Zefira driven by Abdujabbor Abdunabievich Davlatov, born in 1987, a resident of the Vose district.
As a result of the collision, a passenger in the Toyota Carola, Bokhturkhon Gadoev, born in 1960, a resident of the Farkhor District, died at the scene. The other passengers in the vehicle—Savranbi Abdulkodirovna Gadoeva, born in 1964, Mohira Khurshedovna Kodirova, born in 1984, both residents of the Dangara District, and Saodat Shamsieva, born in 1964, a resident of the Farkhor District—were seriously injured and taken to a hospital.
An investigation is underway into both traffic accidents. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan urges drivers to obey traffic rules and exercise caution on the roads.
