On December 23, 2025, a regular meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS Member States was held in Minsk under the chairmanship of B. Safarzoda, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Belarus and Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of Tajikistan to the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth of Independent States. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the results of the Republic of Tajikistan's chairmanship of the CIS in 2025 were summarized, aimed at strengthening integration processes and expanding cooperation between the Commonwealth member states.
It was noted that meetings of the highest bodies of the CIS were held during the year, including a meeting of the Council of Heads of State in Dushanbe.
In addition, a number of initiatives were implemented in the political, economic, humanitarian and environmental spheres, as well as on security issues and countering challenges and threats.
