Tajiktelecom Open Joint-Stock Company has summarized the interim results of telecommunications infrastructure development in Tajikistan for 2025.
According to the company, during the reporting period, extensive work was carried out to improve internet quality, expand the network, and implement modern technologies, making communications in the country more stable, faster, and more accessible to the population.
One of the key achievements was the start of construction of new fiber-optic lines as part of a large-scale three-year project to introduce new highways and modernize existing infrastructure. The total length of upgraded lines and those under construction exceeds 3,459 kilometers, providing connectivity across the country.
In 2025, 536.2 kilometers of fiber-optic lines were laid across Tajikistan, marking the largest network expansion in recent years. This made the internet more accessible to residents of many regions, including hard-to-reach and remote areas.
The company placed special emphasis on developing its free Wi-Fi network. New hotspots were installed in airports, parks, and other public spaces where stable and fast connections are most needed. This allowed more residents and visitors to enjoy convenient internet access.
