A large-scale environmental tree-planting campaign in 2025 took place in the Rudaki district. The event was organized by the Forestry Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Tajikistan, and the Chinese company Pakrut, which operates as a gold mining company in the republic.
The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Tajikistan Guo Zhijun, the head of the group of deputies for friendship with China, the Chairman of the Committee on Law and Order, Defense and Security of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Nasrulloh Mahmudzoda, the First Deputy Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan Kurbonzoda Isodjon, the Deputy Chairman of the city of Vahdat Gayurzoda Narzullo Fayzulo, the Deputy Director of the Forestry Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Nazarzoda Nematullo Ibrokhim, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Pakrut company Xu Zongxi, as well as representatives of the media, the public and employees of the company.


At the opening ceremony, the Chinese Ambassador to Tajikistan, Chairman of the Committee on Law and Order, Defense, and Security of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Nasrulloh Makhmudzoda, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pakrut Company, Xu Zongxi, delivered welcoming speeches.

In his address, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China Guo Zhijun noted China's consistent support for the National Greening Program of the Republic of Tajikistan through 2040. He stated that greening cities and protecting the environment are not only a duty to the current generation but also a guarantee of prosperity for the future. He emphasized that the joint efforts of governments, companies, and citizens contribute to strengthening friendship between peoples and are already yielding tangible results.
Nasrullo Makhmudzoda, in turn, noted that the campaign is a contribution to strengthening the partnership and mutual understanding between Tajikistan and China. He emphasized that every sapling planted is an investment in the country's future, fostering a culture of respect for nature among young people and ensuring the republic's sustainable development.
Xu Zongxi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pakrut, noted the significant role of business in implementing environmental initiatives. He stated that reforestation is one of the company's priorities, and trees play a vital role in protecting land, water resources, and air. He emphasized that the company is proud to contribute to environmental initiatives and the development of Tajik-Chinese cooperation, and actively implements environmental technologies, energy-saving solutions, and promotes green ideas in collaboration with local communities.
Following the official part of the event, a practical tree planting campaign began. Over 2,000 young pine saplings were planted during the event. All participants actively participated in the tree planting, thereby demonstrating their commitment to environmental protection and the future of ecology.









The event concluded with a roundtable discussion at the Pakrut company premises. During the meeting, Nasrullo Makhmudzoda expressed gratitude to his Chinese colleagues, Pakrut, and the Chinese Embassy for their participation in the event and their support of Tajikistan's greening strategy.



The Chinese Ambassador to Tajikistan, in turn, noted China's commitment to working together to support Tajikistan's environmental and economic development. He emphasized that Pakrut not only contributes to the development of the industrial sector and the creation of new jobs but also actively participates in the country's environmental initiatives, strengthening bilateral cooperation.



Xu Zongxi also noted that Pakrut is actively investing in scientific research in Tajikistan, creating new jobs, and working closely with government and local authorities to support environmental initiatives.
The parties highly appreciated the level of interaction and expressed their readiness to further develop cooperation between Tajikistan and China.
