Khatlon Region Governor Davlatali Said and the Russian Federation's Trade Representative to the Republic of Tajikistan, Alexander Leonidovich Rybas, held an official meeting to discuss the development of trade and economic cooperation between Khatlon Region and the Russian Federation, according to the Khatlon Region Executive Authority.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the construction of joint industrial ventures, processing of environmentally friendly products, packaging, and export. The parties discussed opportunities for attracting investment and creating favorable conditions for entrepreneurs in the region. It was emphasized that Khatlon Region has ample potential for industrial development and is ready to expand cooperation with foreign partners.
Alexander Rybas praised the Khatlon Region's proposals as timely and practical. He expressed confidence that trade and economic cooperation between the two sides will continue to grow rapidly in the future.
The head of the Khatlon region reported that over 400 small and medium-sized industrial enterprises currently operate in the region. In particular, favorable conditions have been created in cotton processing and high-quality fiber production, construction materials, and food and beverage production. Through cooperation with foreign partners, it is possible to increase the number of enterprises and production volumes.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue dialogue and implement joint projects.
