The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs immediately offered assistance to the Tajik side following reports of the death of a minor citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan at a school in the Moscow region. This was stated by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, commenting on the tragedy that occurred on December 16, 2025, according to TASS.
According to Zakharova, immediately after the news of the incident was published, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs offered assistance to the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Russian Federation. In response, the Tajik diplomatic mission sent a note requesting an objective and comprehensive investigation into all the circumstances of the tragedy.
"When media reports emerged about the tragedy that resulted in the death of a minor citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan on December 16, 2025, at a school in the Moscow region, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs immediately offered assistance to the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Russian Federation," Zakharova said.
She reported that the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has sent official requests to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs to clarify all available details of the incident and provide the necessary support to the Tajik side.
As noted by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Moscow Region has opened a criminal case under Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder), Part 3 of Article 30 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (preparation for a crime and attempted crime), and Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. All circumstances of the incident are currently being established.
Maria Zakharova emphasized that the Russian side will be guided by the principle of mutual support in relations with the Republic of Tajikistan, based on strategic partnership and alliance.
"Any human life has the highest value, regardless of anything, including citizenship or nationality. The Russian side will do everything necessary to ensure an impartial and objective investigation of the incident," stated the official spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
She also reported that the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its deepest condolences to the Tajik side, the relatives of the deceased child, and those injured in the attack.
