The presentation of the World Bank Group's new Country Cooperation Strategy for Tajikistan for 2026–2031 took place in Dushanbe. Heads of relevant ministries and agencies, as well as World Bank representatives, participated in the event, according to the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan.
The event was opened by Faiziddin Sattor Qahhorzoda, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan and World Bank Country Director, who praised the World Bank's contribution to the implementation of priority projects in the country.


The presented strategy places special emphasis on key areas of cooperation, including the creation of new jobs, the development of the energy sector, attracting investment to the private sector, and strengthening human capital, including in the areas of education and healthcare.
During the presentation, the parties confirmed their commitment to continuing and strengthening their cooperation to achieve their strategic goals. Furthermore, the participants discussed current issues and exchanged views on priority strategic areas, outlining specific steps for project implementation.
The new Country Cooperation Strategy aims to promote sustainable socioeconomic development in Tajikistan, increase investment, and improve the quality of life of the population, as well as the country's integration into international financial and investment processes.
