President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has ordered the development of a Strategy for the Development of Tajikistan's Communications Industry through 2040. He announced this in his address to the country's parliament.
In his address, the President noted that one of the key tasks is providing the population with high-speed internet and the further development of telecommunications infrastructure.
To achieve these goals, a number of measures are planned, including the modernization of intercity fiber-optic communication lines and the expansion of international communication channels, which will improve the quality of services and expand connectivity for citizens and organizations in the country.
Emomali Rahmon also emphasized the need for a systematic approach to developing the communications industry, emphasizing the importance of strategic planning. In this regard, he instructed the Communications Service of Tajikistan to develop a comprehensive Communications Development Strategy through 2040 and submit it to the government for review.
The strategy's development aims to create a modern, sustainable, and accessible telecommunications infrastructure capable of meeting the needs of the population and businesses, as well as supporting the digital transformation of the state.
