The 5th International Physics Olympiad was held in digital format at the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute, the CIS Executive Committee press service reported.
The international event was attended by approximately 380 students from higher education institutions in Turkmenistan and 14 countries, including the Russian Federation, the United States of America, the People's Republic of China, Italy, Romania, Belarus, the Republic of Turkey, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, India, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan.
The scientific competition demonstrated the high level of preparation of all participants. Nineteen students achieved the highest results, including representatives from the Tajik National University. Other students who received high marks included students from Makhtumkuli Turkmen State University, Ufa State Oil Technological University, Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute, Nizami National Pedagogical University of Uzbekistan, Xinjiang University (China), Belarusian State University, Aba Annaev International Horse Breeding Academy (Turkmenistan), the University of Memphis (USA), Azerbaijan Technical University, and L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
The organizers noted that holding the Olympiad during the International Year of Peace and Trust is of great importance not only for strengthening ties between higher education institutions, but also for introducing young people from different countries to Turkmenistan, fostering friendly interactions, and exchanging knowledge and opinions.
