Two people have been arrested in Dushanbe in connection with the theft of five laptops from the State Unitary Enterprise "Registration of Real Estate."

Officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs Department No. 1 in the Firdavsi district of Dushanbe detained two local residents, Umed Islomov and Ehson Saidzoda, on suspicion of committing theft from the building of the State Unitary Enterprise "Registration of Real Estate," the Dushanbe Department of Internal Affairs reported .

According to the preliminary investigation, on the night of December 4 of this year, the suspects illegally entered the premises of a business located on N. Karabaev Street and stole five laptops of various brands. The investigation revealed that Umed Islomov had two previous criminal convictions for theft.

The suspects are currently in custody. A criminal case has been opened against them under Article 244 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan (theft). A preliminary investigation into other possible illegal activities by the detainees is ongoing.
