On December 9, 2025, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon remotely commissioned a number of significant socio-economic facilities in the city of Tursunzade.
As part of the city's improvement efforts and preparations for the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's independence, a modern shopping mall owned by Bozori Tursunzoda LLC was commissioned. The complex, built on 14 hectares of previously unused land, comprises 12 buildings in traditional and modern architectural styles, as well as 10 canopies. The first phase of construction, comprising 1,500 retail outlets and two parking lots, has already been completed.

With the launch of the first phase of the market, more than 1,670 residents of the city and surrounding areas have gained permanent employment. Construction of the second phase, which includes 20 cold storage facilities, 26 pharmacies, a cafeteria, vehicle repair and wash facilities, and other service facilities, will employ 170 local residents. Once completed, the number of jobs at the site will reach 2,670.
The market complex houses modern retail centers selling clothing, groceries, fruits and vegetables, household goods, and building materials, as well as banking services, mobile phone company offices, sewing workshops, and other services. Cold storage facilities located near the railway ensure timely delivery of goods and facilitate export. A 120-bed hotel has also been built on the premises. Solar panels, which meet the country's modern energy sector requirements, are used extensively for power supply.
On the same day, the Leader of the Nation commissioned a new aluminum production facility, Aluminiyi Avvalin LLC. The facility, built by local entrepreneur Khurshed Azizov and the foreign company Muhandislik, covers a total area of 6.2 hectares. Equipped with modern production lines, the facility is capable of producing 40 types of aluminum profiles and 10,000 tons of products annually. With the launch of the facility, 160 local residents have gained permanent employment. Production meets international standards and allows for export.

In addition, the President of Tajikistan opened six private preschools in the city of Tursunzade. These include the kindergartens "Gunchakhoi Istiklol," "Dunoi Shirin," "Labkhandi Kudak," "Joni Bobo," "Shukufa," and "Lola," as well as the preschool "Shakhriyor" in the village of Jovidon. The educational institutions are equipped with modern classrooms, sleeping and play areas, furniture, and visual aids. With the opening of these facilities, 23 teaching specialists and 10 local staff, primarily women, have received permanent jobs.

The head of state praised the quality of the work performed, the modern facilities, and the initiative of patriotic entrepreneurs, noting the projects' importance for creating jobs, increasing employment, and improving the city's social infrastructure. Particular attention was paid to creating conditions for high-quality education for children, fostering patriotism, and shaping their personalities from an early age.
