In the Sughd region, more than 750 kilometers of local roads will be paved by 2025, according to the regional administration's press service.
Road improvement and paving work was carried out by residents of the region in accordance with the initiatives and proposals of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon. The necessary machinery and equipment were used, and the work was carried out in strict compliance with established quality standards.
Asphalting of roads in 18 cities and districts of the region covered a wide range of areas, and the work performed was praised as exemplary. The total volume of work completed this year exceeded last year's figures by 100 kilometers.
Residents and entrepreneurs from the cities and districts of Khujand, Kanibadam, Jabbor Rasulov, Asht, Spitamen, Penjikent, as well as the Bobojon Gafurov district and the city of Isfara, took a special part in paving the roads.
The administration's press service notes that a significant portion of the initiative's participants had previously planned to perform the Hajj pilgrimage, but decided to dedicate their efforts to improving their home region, recognizing the importance of contributing to improving the living conditions of the population.
This year, more than two thousand kilometers of roads were repaired and upgraded in the cities and districts of Sughd Region. These projects are aimed at properly celebrating the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's state independence and are being carried out with a high level of organization and quality.
