The Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has urged residents of the capital to strictly adhere to safety regulations when using coal for heating their homes, according to a press release from the department.
As noted, in recent days, accidents, including fires and poisonings, including fatalities, have been reported in various regions of Tajikistan due to the improper use of coal in home stoves and failure to comply with safety regulations.
Therefore, the Ministry of Internal Affairs recommends that citizens ensure that their stoves, heating appliances, and ventilation ducts are in good working order before the heating season begins, and that they regularly ventilate their homes. Following these measures will help prevent fires, smoke leaks, and the spread of toxic gases in residential premises.
