Three athletes from Tajikistan successfully competed at the WRPF World Powerlifting Championships, which took place in Moscow on December 5, 2025, winning prizes in their categories. This was reported by the Bodybuilding and Powerlifting Federation of Tajikistan.
Davlatmand Odinaev delivered an outstanding performance in the 110-kilogram weight class. He became world champion in the triathlon with a total of 735 kilograms, besting the strongest athletes. In the deadlift, Davlatmand lifted 292.5 kilograms, setting a new WRPF world record in both the Open and M1 categories.


In the 100-kilogram weight class for athletes in the M2 age group (50+), Kobilchon Khaitaliyev took second place in the bench press, lifting 162.5 kilograms. He confidently remained among the best, competing against experienced athletes from around the world.
Ubaidullo Rakhmonov, competing in the 110-kilogram combined event, earned another silver medal for the Tajik team. His final result was 380 kilograms, placing him second in the world standings.
These achievements confirm the high level of training of Tajik athletes and their ability to compete successfully on the global stage. The country's weightlifters are demonstrating consistent progress and continue to establish themselves as a strong powerlifting school in Tajikistan.
