During a routine wildlife control operation in the village of Navobod-2 in the Nofaroch rural jamoat of Istaravshan, authorized agency staff uncovered two cases of illegal capture of goldfinches, according to the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

An administrative violation report was filed against two individuals engaged in illegal bird hunting. The report was prepared in accordance with Article 44 of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Environmental Protection" and Article 223 of the Code of the Republic of Tajikistan on Administrative Offenses.
The Committee called on the country's citizens to refrain from such actions, emphasizing that legislation provides for appropriate measures to combat violators of wildlife protection laws.
The agency noted that caring for nature is especially important during the winter, when rare animal and bird species require additional support. The committee urged residents to feed birds and contribute to the conservation of Tajikistan's biodiversity.
