On November 26 of this year, in Tashkent, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sulton Rahimzoda, participated in and spoke at a roundtable discussion on the topic of "Business and Investment Environment" as part of the third European Union – Central Asia Economic Forum, the Committee's press service reported.
During his speech, Sulton Rahimzoda noted that the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan is taking important measures to create a favorable investment environment, develop the private sector, and implement institutional reforms.
It was emphasized that Tajikistan is consistently working to simplify licensing procedures, develop an infrastructure to support entrepreneurship, facilitate the activities of investors, and improve legal protection mechanisms for business entities, while attracting foreign investment is considered one of the key factors for the country's sustainable economic development.
In this context, readiness was expressed to expand mutually beneficial cooperation with the European Union and other international organizations.
The roundtable also discussed issues related to the development of priority sectors, including the processing industry, energy, transport and logistics, tourism, digital technologies, as well as improving the regulatory framework and mechanisms for stimulating investors.
In conclusion, the Committee Chairman expressed hope that the results of the discussions and exchange of opinions at this roundtable will contribute to the expansion of constructive partnerships, the implementation of important investment projects, and the strengthening of regional economic cooperation.
