On November 26, 2025, a delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan, led by First Deputy Prime Minister Khokim Kholikzoda, took part in the third Central Asia – European Union Economic Forum, which was held in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, the press service of the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan reported.



The forum brought together high-level representatives of Central Asian governments, European Union institutions, international financial organizations, the private sector, and expert circles.
The forum addressed issues related to improving the business environment and investment climate, supporting structural reforms, promoting green and digital transformation, expanding trade and economic ties between Central Asian countries and the European Union, and developing transport and logistics infrastructure in the region.
In his opening remarks, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Khokim Kholikzoda, noted that Tajikistan highly valued the dynamic partnership with the European Union and is interested in further implementing joint projects that serve the long-term sustainable development interests of the country and the region. The importance of strengthening industrial cooperation, enhancing digital competitiveness, modernizing energy infrastructure, and creating favorable conditions for expanding trade and investment was emphasized.
Following the forum, the parties confirmed their commitment to continue consistent work to deepen cooperation, implement joint investment projects, and promote economic sustainability in the region.
Also within the framework of the Forum, the Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management, Suton Rahimzoda, participated and spoke at the panel session "Business and Investment Environment," the First Deputy of the Committee on Construction and Architecture, Ulugbek Umarzoda, at the panel session "Strengthening Professional Competencies in Central Asia," and the First Deputy Director of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies, Hakim Ismoilzoda, at the panel session "Regional Integration."
The Forum also included meetings between First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Khokim Kholikzoda and the European Union Commissioner for International Partnerships, Mr. Jozef Sikela, and Vice-President of the European Investment Bank, Mr. Marek Mora. They discussed current issues related to the development of cooperation between Tajikistan and the European Union and the European Investment Bank, including expanding investment cooperation, implementing infrastructure and energy projects, and supporting initiatives in the areas of green economy, transport, and digitalization.
