Tajik President Emomali Rahmon opened a number of social facilities in Khujand, including a new building for the Sulton Urunov Clinical Hospital No. 1, preschools, and educational centers.
The new seven-story building of Clinical Hospital No. 1 covers an area of 600 square meters and is equipped with modern medical equipment. It comprises seven departments and has 200 beds. With the new building's opening, the hospital's total number of departments has reached 18, with a total of 660 beds. The new building is equipped with a digital tomograph, digital X-ray, electrocardiographs, ventilators, ultrasound machines, and modern equipment for kidney diagnostics and treatment.
Modern treatment methods have been implemented in the new emergency room, intensive care unit, emergency surgery, neurology, urology, gynecology, traumatology, and orthopedics departments. The new facilities allow for bariatric surgeries, laparoscopic procedures for kidney disease, abdominal surgeries using new techniques, and other advanced procedures. The new building has created 200 new jobs, bringing the hospital's total staff to 900.
On the same day, the President of the Republic remotely opened two healthcare centers in the village of Mehrgon and the village of Paldorak in the Kuhistoni district of Mastchokh. The health center in Mehrgon includes 16 offices and provides workspaces for 50 residents, while the health center in Paldorak is designed to serve 2,200 residents and employ 10 medical staff.
New preschools also opened in Khujand. The Arkon preschool accommodates 360 children and employs 30 teachers and 75 staff members. The building, constructed jointly by local architects and German specialists, includes 26 classrooms, a gym, a medical center, a cafeteria, and recreation areas.
The private preschool "Archa," designed for 500 children, opened in the 7th microdistrict of Khujand. Instruction is provided in Tajik, Russian, and English, and 40 positions are available for specialists.
The President also launched the Azizi Dilkho kindergarten for 120 children, the Donoyak kindergarten for 60 children, and the Farinush kindergarten in the Ayni district for 40 children.
As part of large-scale work to mark the 35th anniversary of State Independence, the Arkon Secondary School for 600 students, Gymnasium No. 4 for 1,700 students, Comprehensive School No. 26 in the village of Tomin for 480 students, and a modern sports ground in the village of Gaberud were commissioned in Khujand.
In addition, Emomali Rahmon opened eight early childhood development centers remotely at educational institutions in the Kuhistoni Mastchokh district. Each center serves 25 to 60 children, providing additional education and development.
During his tour of the facilities, the President praised the quality of the work performed, emphasizing that public health and education are at the center of the Government of Tajikistan's social policy. He emphasized the importance of improving the professional skills of specialists, introducing modern diagnostic and training methods, improving the quality of services, and maintaining integrity in their work.
