As part of a German Development Bank program, a group of Swiss specialists is visiting the National Center for Tuberculosis, Lung Diseases, and Thoracic Surgery of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan to conduct training sessions and exchange experience with Tajik colleagues in the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis, lung diseases, and thoracic surgery. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health of Tajikistan.
During a working visit to Tajikistan, Swiss doctors exchanged views and experiences with specialists from the Center, particularly on the implementation of new diagnostic and treatment methods for tuberculosis, lung disease, and thoracic surgery.
In addition, specialists from Switzerland, together with doctors from the National Center, performed a series of complex surgical operations on the lungs and chest using modern endoscopic methods, that is, without incisions on the patient's body.
As the Ministry of Health notes, with the introduction of modern medical equipment, the facility is gradually introducing new surgical technologies, which contributes to a more rapid recovery for patients and their speedy return to normal life.
During the working visit to Tajikistan, Swiss doctors and specialists from the Center will also participate in training sessions aimed at enhancing the knowledge, experience, and professional skills of local specialists.
It is noted that specialists from Switzerland, as part of a program of the German Development Bank, donated a number of modern medical devices and equipment to the National Center for Tuberculosis, Lung Diseases and Thoracic Surgery.
In turn, Swiss specialists expressed satisfaction with the existing conditions, opportunities, and the level of knowledge and professionalism of the doctors at the National Center for Tuberculosis, Lung Diseases, and Thoracic Surgery.
