In the first six months of 2025, imports to Tajikistan totaled $3.78 billion, an increase of 10.5% compared to the same period last year, according to the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan.
"The increase in imports is explained by the active modernization of production, the growth in the number of infrastructure projects, and the improvement in the purchasing power of citizens," the statement said.
The following occupy a significant place in the import structure:
– food products (8.3% for consumption, 9.7% for processing),
– vehicles (13%),
– petroleum products (11.7%),
– technological equipment (7.9%),
– wood and building materials, gas, fertilizers and polymer products.
