Yesterday, as part of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked and Developing Countries, a meeting was held between the Presidents of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The key issue at the meeting was establishing direct flights between the two countries' capitals, Dushanbe and Ashgabat, the CIS Executive Committee press service reported.
The presidents emphasized the relevance of this issue and discussed expanding cooperation in various areas, including politics, trade and economic relations, investment, agriculture, industry, the oil and gas industry, transport, communications, healthcare, education, culture, youth policy, and sports.
To increase the volume of trade between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, it was proposed to develop and implement a “Roadmap” for the period 2026-2028.
