US President Donald Trump announced that his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin will take place on August 15 in Alaska, Interfax reports.

"A highly anticipated meeting between myself, the President of the United States, and President Vladimir Putin of Russia will take place on Friday, August 15th, in the great state of Alaska," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Further details about the meeting will be announced later, the American president added.
