On August 14, the National Museum of Tajikistan opened a national exhibition entitled "Abu Ali ibn Sina – the Great Thinker of the Tajik People," dedicated to the 1045th anniversary of the birth of the renowned scientist, philosopher, and astronomer Abu Ali ibn Sina. This was reported by NIAT Khovar, citing the National Museum of Tajikistan.
Participants in the opening ceremony noted the outstanding thinker's enormous contribution to the formation and development of the scientific and literary heritage of the Tajik people, and also emphasized the inspiring role of Abu Ali ibn Sina's ideas for future generations.
The exhibition features over 80 exhibits reflecting the scientist's life, scientific, and literary work. These include fine art, wood carvings, inlays, painted clay and metal vessels, medical instruments, commemorative coins, suzani embroidery, ceramic and bronze sculptures, manuscripts and lithographs, as well as other valuable museum items.
Today, Abu Ali ibn Sina is recognized as one of the most prolific scholars and writers in world history. According to researchers, his works number 456, covering philosophy, medicine, logic, ethics, language, literature, and art. The great thinker wrote 23 of his works in his native Tajik language.
The exhibition "Abuali ibn Sino – the Great Thinker of the Tajik People" at the National Museum of Tajikistan will be open until September 1.
