On the eve of the 25th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the SCO Forum on Humanitarian Exchanges 2025, "Harmony and Unity: Creating the Future Together," was held in Beijing on August 25. It was organized by the China Media Corporation and the SCO Secretariat. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov and Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif sent congratulatory letters to the Forum, wishing it every success. Over 100 guests, including prominent political, cultural, and media figures from SCO countries, attended the event and witnessed a presentation of a number of achievements in humanitarian exchanges between the Organization's member states.
In his congratulatory message, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov expressed confidence that the Forum would serve as a starting point for even more significant cooperation between the media of Kyrgyzstan and China. It is expected that in 2025–2026, when Kyrgyzstan assumes the SCO presidency, Kyrgyzstan's cooperation with the China Media Corporation will become even closer.

In his congratulatory message, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif noted that in a complex and volatile international environment, sincere dialogue and mutual understanding between different civilizations and countries are invaluable. The current forum demonstrated the "Shanghai Spirit," creating a significant platform for strengthening cooperation, trust, and friendship among the peoples of the SCO member states.
Shen Haixiong, Vice Minister of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and CEO of China Media Corporation, stated that Chinese civilization has historically been committed to the principle of "harmony and harmony"—a worldview in which respect for diversity and coexistence are the key to vitality and prosperity. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the world's largest regional organization by territory and population, represents an impressive "mosaic of civilizations." In recent years, China Media Corporation has actively collaborated with its partners in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, establishing platforms such as the China-SCO Information Exchange Platform and organizing a number of events in the area of people-to-people exchange, including the China-SCO Media Roundtable, the Week of Outstanding Film and Television Screenings of Shanghai Cooperation Organization Countries, and the Echo of Peace Festival.

SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev stated that for the SCO, as the largest transregional international association, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, which promotes rapprochement between nations, strengthens trust and mutual understanding, and promotes the ideas of peace and good-neighborliness, is a priority. During the current Forum, a Cooperation Agreement was signed between the China Media Corporation and the SCO Secretariat, establishing regular and institutionalized cooperation, facilitating multilateral and diverse exchanges, and jointly promoting the "Shanghai Spirit."
The Forum included an exchange of cooperation documents between the China Media Corporation and the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the launch of the "Mechanisms for Media Cooperation among SCO Countries" initiative, and the launch of the SILK WAY STAR 2025 international vocal competition.
