President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu, the presidential press service reported .
The talks were held in a spirit of trust and strategic partnership. The parties discussed a wide range of issues related to Tajik-Kazakh relations, including political interaction, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation. Particular attention was paid to developing interparliamentary dialogue, which, as Emomali Rahmon noted, contributes to strengthening the entire range of bilateral ties.
The parties discussed upcoming high-level meetings and contacts, as well as preparations for the CIS summit and the Central Asia-Russia meeting, which will take place in Dushanbe.
Following the talks, a signing ceremony was held for the Treaty of Friendship, Good-Neighborliness, and Cooperation for the Development of Central Asia in the 21st Century. The document was signed by President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
"Joint work to implement this agreement will be an important factor in ensuring peace, stability, and sustainable development in the region," Emomali Rahmon emphasized.
