Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar stated that there are no plans to establish a Palestinian state. He told reporters following talks with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington, Reuters reports.
"When asked about the prospects for the creation of a Palestinian state, I can say clearly: there will be no such state," said the head of Israeli diplomacy.
Sa'ar has previously expressed a strong stance on this issue. In April, he described Palestine as a "fictitious state" and noted that he views recognition of its statehood by other countries as a "reward for terror."
The talks in Washington, as specified, were devoted to issues of regional security and bilateral relations between Israel and the United States.
